Kolecto helps small and medium-sized business leaders and their employees take back control of their finances and time. Kolecto supports finance teams in accelerating the processing and dematerialization of customer and supplier invoices through automatic collection, intelligent classification, and a fast and integrated payment experience.

When I arrived at Kolecto, I was faced with the challenge of designing a cash management system from scratch. This task was crucial as Kolecto did not have a system in place to effectively manage its liquidity. In collaboration with a project manager, we took a methodical approach to co-designing this system. We started by conducting in-depth interviews with internal stakeholders to understand the specific needs and challenges of the company in cash management. Concurrently, we analyzed cash management practices among our competitors to gain insights and identify industry best practices.

Thanks to our user-centered approach and industry best practices, we have been able to develop a comprehensive vision of what our cash management system should be. This vision took into account Kolecto's specific needs, while drawing inspiration from the effective solutions observed in our competitors. To materialize this vision, we created a simplified initial iteration of the system, focusing on the essential features necessary to ensure accurate tracking of cash and financial flows. This first version allowed us to lay the groundwork for the system and gather initial feedback from users and internal stakeholders.
